What a scorcher! London has been baking in a Great British heatwave this week – but there have been no paddling pools or ice lollies for the Clownfish team. We’ve had things to do, events to organise, fun to generate… business as usual, basically.

Last weekend was all about the Wimbledon Village Fair. Clownfish has been a part of this annual community event since we started out in 2009 and we love being there. Come rain or shine you’ll find us on Wimbledon Common from the early hours, setting up our gazebos, inflating giant slides and rolling out hundreds of metres of cabling.

This year was just as awesome as always. The heat didn’t seem to deter the crowds, who enjoyed a stroll around the craft stalls, the Waggy Wimbledon dog show and some incredible displays in the arena.

As well as power and sound for the main arena and the Sips and Sounds Tent, Clownfish brought along a mega inflatable slide, a soft play zone for Wimbledon Nannies and our ever-popular Area 51 Laser Tag game, which was kindly sponsored by Emmanuel Church.

You’d think that haring around a maze of black plastic tunnels would be the last thing people wanted to do in 30 degree heat – but what do we know? The kids loved it. No wonder it’s a favourite for family events like this. It’s also brilliant fun for corporate events and team building – ask us why.

Our team did an amazing job, as always. If anyone can keep cool when the heat is on, it’s this lot. But no rest for the wicked, we’re in the thick of the summer season and that means early starts and long drives, spreading the happy across our sun-drenched corner of the Earth.

Thank goodness for air-conditioned vans.
